Farm Diversification Grangefields Pine Lodge; A Success story in Farm Diversity

An alternative income for the Farming Industry

The BSE, Foot and Mouth Epidemic and endless constraints due to never ending legislation have catapulted the farming industry and its community towards break up!

The Hill family from Derbyshire, decided upon Rural Accommodations products at the Royal Show in Stoneleigh, Warwickshire. They had realised that a holiday chalet could be placed within a paddock adjacent to the farmhouse, overlooking the Mease Valley. Rural Accommodations worked through the design layout and liaised with the agent dealing with planning. The lodge provides excellent accommodation with two bedrooms, a spacious living area and bathroom and shower room, with polished pine floors throughout. A truly fantastic result. Bookings are taken all year round and many of the clientele just keep coming back.

If you would like enjoy the hospitality of the Hill family call  01827 373253.

The countryside and the families whom look after it have been forced to create new dimensions to their world; to find alternative streams of revenue in the shadow of death and massive upheaval. But what are the alternatives? Diversify into other areas in order to support income but how? It is understandable that confusion and frustration sets in amongst farmers and rural landowners.

You know what you don’t want to do. You have no clear vision of what you should do, but you know you must do something!

Maybe you have a good idea of what you want to do, but don’t know how to do it.

Or maybe you are fortunate and know exactly what you are going to do, and are ready to do it.

Rural Accommodations have created tailored packages for the farming community looking to diversify. We offer guidance on planning, marketing and the creation of feasibility studies.
